9 Prayers For Your Children

Children are so important. They are the hope and promise for a brighter future. How often as parents do we pray over their physical safety and health? Do we pray even more often for their Spiritual health? If we believe that God hears and answers prayers, then we need to be even more so in prayer over our children. So this week, we will look at 9 ideas for prayers to pray over our children.

  1. To Have A Heart For God

    • Psalm 51:10 - “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”

  2. To Follow God’s Word

    • Psalm 119:33 - “Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes; and I will keep it to the end.”

  3. To Be A Servant

    • Galatians 6:9 - “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

  4. To Be In Prayer

    • 1 Thessalonians 5:17 - “pray without ceasing,”

  5. To Have A Convicted Faith

    • Hebrews 11:1 - “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

  6. To Have A SteadFast Heart

    • Micah 7:7 - “But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.”

  7. To Be Grateful

    • 1 Thessalonians 5:18 - “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

  8. To Be Bold In Their Faith

    • 2 Timothy 1:7 - “for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”

  9. To Share God’s Word

    • Matthew 28:19-20 - “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Conclusion:

So today, let’s pray for our children more! Even if you don’t have kids, or your kids are grown, we should be praying over these things for all the young children in The Lord’s Churches. Let’s cover our children in prayer today…and everyday!
