5 Ways To Serve Others Like Jesus Did
Serving others is not just a “nice thing” to do, it’s the foundation of the Christian lifestyle. Our life should be more than just doing good because we should do good to show God to others. We are reflecting God’s love onto others! Sometimes serving others can feel more complex than it needs to be though. So today, we will look at five different ways that Jesus served others to gain ideas for our own service. If you find yourself wanting new ideas for serving others, then continue on.
Listen Intently To Others
James 1:19 - “Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;”
Provide For Their Needs
Proverbs 19:17 - “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.”
Quickly Offer Forgiveness
Ephesians 4:32 - “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Show Patience And Love
1 Corinthians 13:4 - “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant”
Spend Time With The Lonely
Hebrews 13:2 - “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.a”
Conclusion:
So today, how can we get better about serving others? Will we prioritize serving others more like Jesus did? He gave others everything He had, and didn’t put Himself first. Will we work on serving more like Jesus this week?
