We will see what lies the world tells us about fear.
Your Fear Shows A Lack Of Faith
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 - “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
You Can’t Fully Overcome Fear
Philippians 4:13 - “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
Your Fear Motivates You To Change
2 Corinthians 5:14 - “For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died;”
Your Fear Keeps You Prepared
Psalm 23:4 - “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
Your Fear Keeps Your Grounded In Reality
2 Corinthians 4:18 - “as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”
Conclusion:
So today, will we let the world dictate how we feel about our own fears? We have seen that our fears are holding us to the world, but will we continue to let the world keep us in fear? With God we have a new life, and He offers us TRUE peace. Will we let Him be our source of peace and comfort?
